Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang (MOP KLIA), Japan’s branded factory outlet shopping mall announced the winners for its ‘Spend & Win a Car’ contest with each driving back a Toyota Avanza and Toyota Yaris respectively, in conjunction with the outlet mall’s Chap Goh Meh celebration.
The ‘Spend and Win a Car’ contest which was held in conjunction with MOP KLIA’s 2019 Christmas promotion has successfully garnered more than 13,000 entries and two winners were selected from among the entries submitted. The ‘Spend and Win a Car’ contest only required shoppers to spend a minimum amount of RM300 in a maximum of two receipts to participate.

“In MOP KLIA, there are always rewards for shoppers. The value shoppers bring back with them is more than what they pay for. Shopping at MOP KLIA offers great value, up to 70 per cent discount all year round. Moreover, our attractive promotions further increases their shopping value with cash back promotions, winnings from contests and lucky picks,” said TJ Cheah, MFMA Development’s Deputy Managing Director.
Suhaimi Bin Mahdar, 52, one of the lucky winners who drove away a Toyota Avanza was overwhelmed when he received a call from MOP KLIA. “I filled out the ‘Spend and Win a Car’ form at the information counter to participate but didn’t think much about it after that. I later received a call informing me that I was in the running to win an Avanza and all I needed to do was to answer one questions correctly. I didn’t quite believe that it was true until they read out my IC number,” said Suhaimi.

Still stoked about winning a brand-new Toyota Avanza, Suhaimi said that he will be on the lookout for more campaigns by MOP KLIA. “Who knows maybe I will win another amazing prize from MOP KLIA again in the future,” said Suhaimi.
Another grand prize winner of the contest, Mohd Zafri Mohd Shariff, 52, who won the Toyota Yaris, shops at MOP KLIA approximately three times in a year with his wife. He said he could not believe that he was lucky enough to win the grand prize. “I have entered several contests like this in the past but I have never been lucky enough to win anything. I’m really happy to be the winner of the Toyota Yaris,” said Zafri.

When asked about his plan with this new car, Zafri said that he will now have a car in standby if emergency happens, and he can drive different cars every other week as well.
The Chap Goh Meh Chinese New Year celebration brought together Malaysia’s multi-racial community which was made up of shoppers as well as business partners and tenants of MOP KLIA. Together, they were entertained with the Chinese cultural performances such as the Sichuan Face Changing Show, Lion Dance and the tossing of the Prosperity Yee Sang.

Bubble Tea, the international beverage sensation which has enticed the palates and captured the hearts of people all across the world, Malaysians included, has officially landed on the steps of KidZania Kuala Lumpur as the award-winning indoor family centre welcomed its newest industry partner, Tealive.

The ingredients involved in making the milk tea and pearls are freshly-brewed tea and tapioca starch. All drinks that are prepared in the establishment are also capped at only half-sugar level.
